Having grown up consuming news from local networks, I understand the power of the media and the importance of accurate storytelling. After facilitating a three-hundred person walk out at my high school in New Westminster, I discovered a passion for representing others and empowering those unable to use their voice. I am excited to apply what I am currently learning at the British Columbia Institute of Technology to become a better storyteller and representative to the public. I am inspired by journalists like Lisa Ling, Kara Swisher, Lisa LaFlamme and Adrienne Arsenault because they demonstrate strong and compassionate journalism.

In my spare time, I often collaborate with organizations such as SEAS (Safety, Education, Advocacy and Support) and Justice For Girls.
